Why the pit’s lit
Recently, our world was turned upside down when my dad had to undergo surgery to remove a brain tumor. We are incredibly grateful that the tumor was successfully removed, but this is only the beginning of a long road to recovery.
He is currently unable to work while he heals and goes through chemo and radiation. As someone who has always worked hard and taken pride in providing for his family, this has been especially difficult. Between hospital bills, surgeon and specialist fees, medications, follow-up appointments, rehabilitation, and everyday living expenses, the financial burden is overwhelming.
My dad has always been the one people call when they need help. He’s shown up for friends, family, and even people he barely knew — without hesitation. He’s spent years building friendships everywhere he goes, connecting over shared passions, lending a hand, or simply offering support and laughter when someone needed it most.
Now, we’re asking for help for him.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward medical expenses and helping ease the financial stress so he can focus fully on healing and fighting this illness. If you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser and keeping him in your thoughts and prayers means the world to us.
Thank you for supporting a man who has spent his life supporting others. We can’t wait to see him back to telling jokes, talking about VWs, planning his next trip, and doing what he loves most — being with his family and friends.
Donations are going to help cover medical expenses from both hospitals, future doctor visits, treatments, supplies, and life necessities as he is out of work for the foreseeable future.
Every dollar goes straight to Rodney and his family to cover medical expenses..
Not hungry? A gift counts toward the same total.
