BBQ Gives Back runs barbecue fundraisers for people in our community. Here’s what we keep and why.
What we collect
- Bidders: your name, email, optional phone and the name you chose for the leaderboard, so we can run the auction, reach winners and arrange pickup.
- Donors and winners: your name, email, optional phone, the amount and any note you send. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.
- Visits: a simple visitor count with no cookies and no stored IP addresses.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell or share your information, except with the fundraiser’s organizers to arrange pickup and with Stripe to take payments. The leaderboard shows only your chosen name or first name and last initial.
We email you about your bids, payments and receipts. We don’t add you to a mailing list.
